I share your concerns and I have been thinking about this quite a lot. I have been drafting an article about ethical marketing but it’s still a work in progress. I agree with most of what you say, but I am not sure how we can build a more human world within a system where the only real value is profit. All the rest is subordinate to that. The vast majority doesn’t seem to mind too much to be exploited and treated as a consumer rather than a human being, perhaps because they are constantly exposed to media that reinforce and justify their condition, turning it as something normal. Social media aggravated this condition.
It’s hard to save people who don’t want nor feel the need to be saved, no matter how oppressed they are. We’d spend our life building pyramids if we were immersed in a system that pushed us to do that and justified it trough dogmatic ideology and rewards/punishments. The majority wouldn’t question the status quo nor try to rebel. For one rebel there would be ten butt lickers.
The dictatorship of the majority is the worst that can happen to humanity, especially if humanity lives within a system where most of what they see, hear, or read come from few corporations increasingly talking with one voice…
